Vision Transformer Architecture: Approximating Region of Interest in Images using Attention Weights




The core premise of this study involves training the ViT model to generate captions describing input images. Simultaneously, we collect attention weights and investigate their viability as feature maps. By deciphering the interplay between attention mechanisms and image content, we aim to uncover a new avenue for automated ROI approximation.
Comparative Study Between Models for Medical Imaging




This study compares two deep learning models: Convolutional Neural Networks and ResNet 50 for medical image analysis, assessing where higher computational complexity yields minimal accuracy gains. Using NIH Chest X-Ray (~112,000 images) for multi-class disease classification, results show ResNet outperforms CNN with higher accuracy (92.78% vs. 92.43%) and F1 score (41.25 vs. 34.14)
Neural Networks from Scratch




Developed a Python library simplifying neural network creation, enabling easy experimentation with architectures, functions, and algorithms. This tool promotes Explainable AI by demystifying neural networks for beginners, challenging the 'black box' perception and facilitating better understanding of these complex systems.
U&I TEACH INDIA - MY VOLUNTEERING STORY

I taught English and Business Studies, translating lessons into Hindi, their mother tongue, ensuring engagement, and witnessing students' enthusiasm despite socio-economic struggles, which deeply inspired me.
Being from an upper-middle-class background, volunteering at U&I Teach, an after-school initiative aimed at educating less privileged youth and helping them stay in school, exposed me to the challenges they face. It broadened my perspective significantly and also pushed me beyond my comfort zone.


This experience instilled humility, empathy, and appreciation for diversity, reinforcing my commitment to giving back through education and social impact.
